Marker Log
At the Tvt gamenight 24/6/17 we had to change our plan and lost some valuable points on the map on other missions due to marker log which are broadcasted to all players not regarding side we also have to Draw (Not write) valuable info like Radio signals movement tactics etc. so it would be nice to remove or tweak the mod so the other factions can´t see other factions markers could provide better gameplay
Which part is the trigger

Re: Marker Log
the mod does not show the same info to opposing sides via the log output, they do not get the location (Position), they do however see the text entry for the marker
They also do not see the markers on the map unless you post them in global
The marker log is there to prevent marker spamming and is shown to both sides during briefing only. Anything added after that is logged to the server.rpt
To work around thios all you need to do is not use marker text that would reveal the position of the marker,
so instead of placing text like "Hill 132 place an obscure name that doesnt reveal anything tactical, something like wp_1

Re: Marker Log
I think what supah is referring to is that you can't write down important information without giving it away to the other side.
E.g. you can't put markers "A SR 31" or "LR 87" on the map, because it's broadcasted globally and with that information, your comms are compromised immediately. Same for certain tactics or movements, like "A Flank", "B BOF", "Recon DZ", ... Even if they don't know where exactly, unless intentional spoofing is taking place, the other team has 100% certainty that there will at some point be a flanking maneuver, most likely at the moment a second unit rains down suppressive fire, that recon will be airdropped in so they should keep an eye out for chutes, ...
The only work-around now is to draw lines that form the necessary information.

Re: Marker Log
You don't get marker spamming on server 2 which is what i assume this post is intended for. Writing with lines if radios get compromised then increase freq by 1.2 instead of just writing with text.
