Client issues connecting to our arma servers

Post by Terox »

There seems to be a small group of players having connection issues to the servers.
To try and get to the bottom of this, we need to start collating information from these users and see if we can identify a common element.

This is not for the odd individual who hasn't set there addons up or had the odd issue, this is where the client is seeing a consistent connection issue which are ongoing and they can rule out their addon installation

So this is the information that you we are currently asking for.

1) Which server/s
2) Your PC Info
  • CPU
    GPU
    Ram
    O/s defining whether 32 or 64 bit
    Your anti virus
Your make model of router/modem and the ISP
A list of all gaming software and peripherals you have plugged in when you try and connect to the server
E.G if its logitech gear you will be running X Mouse, Y Joystick, Z Keyboard all on Logitech Gaming software: Version

ARMA
I need to know what memory allocator you are using if it isn't the default one
and whether you are running 32 bit or 64 bit arma binary (executable)
and I also need you to copy your latest ArmA.RPT file in its entirity to a pastebin link and then post the link in your thread (Google pastebin)

^ All of that please not some of it

From my other post, it may be helpful.
As a few of you might know this issue is becoming a right old pain in the proverbial, its actually got to the point now where I can not take part in any game night on server 1 or 2 if there's any kind of server population.

Firstly a bit of a background..
This problem only and I mean only occurs on the ZEUS community servers be it 1 or 2.
I can play on any other Arma3server be it empty, half full or very nearly full with out any kind of issue, this can be modded or vanilla servers. I can not even get in to No1 server if I launch just Vanilla Arma3.
Stacy and myself with a little help from others were able to establish that I can get onto our servers if there is little or no population and as I proved again today on server 2 when I joined with just 2 others already there, I then managed to stay on server 2 all day and play all day even when 10 to 20 people joined after me.
The problem occurs regardless if I launch 32 or 64bit.

It the same error report every time, accompanied by a crash to desktop and I've done everything it asks you too on wiki to solve the issue all to know avail.

"0xC0000005 - ACCESS_VIOLATION
This error is very generic. It may be caused by many issues, such as a hardware malfunction, a virus in the computer, but also an error in the game itself. Possible solutions:
Try joining another server, then rejoin the previous one.
Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
Re-install DirectX.
Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (both x86 and x64 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function).
Run a Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files."

I have had a look at the rpt file but can make no sense of it as I'm know expert, if anybody would like too take a look please ask me to send it too them, anyway here are the last few lines....

Just as a foot note I build my own PC systems so do have a little knowledge although this is mainly hardware based, any input or questions regarding my system will be answered a bit of which is on here...

quick update according to some info on the B.I forums, it could be caused by a mixture of 64 and 32 bit clients on the server at the same time
Seems there are others with the same problem in different communities
