Kodi replacement (Stremio) recommended

Post by Terox »

For those Kodi users out there.

https://www.strem.io

This is the new Kodi, it's better in every way
You will need to install 2 addons, which you will find in the community addon section , these being
  • Juan Carlos 2
  • RARBG
These are click and go

Once you have the addons installed
Select an item of your choice Movie, TV series etc and then select from the right hand window the quality of stream you want
I have yet to come across a dead link
Also supports twitch TV, Netflix etc

Nice find. Do you know how to import local media by any chance? I click on the option and it tells me theres "no media found this computer". I'm assuming that its because I keep that crap on a seperate drive but I cant find an option to change where it searches.

It should connect to the fire tv stick, also seems to connect to smart tvs connected to the same network.
Reports from people say that it does seem to randomly disconnect from the tv/fire stick from time to time, Devs have said that its something that they will never be able to truly fix as all makes and modals of connectable devices differ so expect it to lose connection from time to time.

Also has a build in remote which i didn't notice at first as its not really labelled that well. It to desyncs from time to time and isn't that great at navigating the app and the app filters. Still helps when you cant be assed moving from your seat tho.

You can find the remote URL in "Settings - Scroll down to the bottom - Scan the QR code or open the URL to get your remote"

All in all great application, Ad free which is always a down side to websites
