Why isnt Server 2 up/ 15.42 27/11/17
Server 2 isn't on.

Because it was shut down for GN yesterday.

For clarification,
It has always been the intent that server 1 is the main gateway into the community in that, out of both our servers, it is the easiest to get going with... no addons, no extra downloads needed, no new key bindings etc etc.. and server 2 is the pinnacle of what we provide (more immersive content, more switched on players who know what they're doing etc). It has also been expected that players new to Zeus would eventually migrate from 1 to 2.
For this reason we need to keep server 1 populated and as busy as possible as this brings in more people (in that they are more attracted to a busier server than a quiet one). In recent summer months we have struggled to push up the numbers on S1 (even some official game nights have been difficult to get larger missions populated). So, mainly for this reason we are bolstering numbers on game nights by closing the other servers to increase player count, provide more options for missions (there are more larger scale missions than smaller ones), and to push our server up the listings which does
in turn bring in more new people.
If, after a minimum of 2 hours of server 1 game night commencing, there are a decent number of people wishing to return to server 2 it can then, at that point, be started up by an admin.
On server 2 game nights however server 1 remains up as it is the main gateway into the community and should be available 24/7.

Then, as smolof suggests, it was closed for gamenight on S1 and no one approached an admin to request it be brought back up.

Are they both on the same physical machine? And if so, is trying to run both at once a factor in why more than one server 2 gamenight recently has had 40+ player missions kind of ruined by dreadful server performance?
